A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer-based mapping tool used by the Property Appraiser’s Office to collect, manage, analyze, and display property-related data. GIS helps staff visualize property locations, review parcel dimensions, analyze land use, and ensure consistent and equitable assessments across the county.
The boundary lines displayed on the GIS maps are for general reference and visualization purposes only. They are not a legal representation of property ownership. If you are having a boundary dispute or need to locate your parcel boundaries, please contact a real estate attorney and/or a professionally licensed surveyor.
Easements are not displayed by our office. GIS cadastral maps are fit-for-purpose to locate, identify, and assess real property for ad valorem assessment purposes. To understand the location of an easement or how an easement affects your property rights, please get in touch with a real estate attorney and/or a professionally licensed surveyor.
Boundary surveys are prepared by licensed surveyors and are provided directly to the individual or entity that requested the survey. The Property Appraiser’s Office does not perform land surveys and does not maintain copies of surveys. If you need a survey for your property, we recommend contacting a professionally licensed surveyor.
ATTENTION The Lake County Interactive map and My Public Services map will be unavailable on Saturday, December 10 due to maintenance.
